I'm looking for some information and direction on the basic climbing course.

We had the first lecture and some time has gone by and our SIG group has not met.

Is there anything  available that a student can do other than pour over the books?

I've heard that there's something going on at the Seattle  clubhouse on Monday nights but I can find no reference to it related to the Climbing Committee.

Dougga - the clubhouse is available to practice every Monday night from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.  It might be a good idea to check with the course administrator to make sure someone will be there on a given Monday.  You can come next week on Wed if you like as I will be there with part of my group.  Have you asked your SIG leader about meeting to practice?
