Myself and 9 club members (John Angulo, Andy Gill, Rod Sawyer, Peter Heinz, Anita Cech, Marla Pickens, Doug Ruth, Jiri Richter and Grace Geng) headed to Lillooet, BC this past weekend for some ice climbing. The ice was quite good despite the ominously warm temps in town for the past few weeks. We used commons sense and targeted higher and shadier locations. Within this constraint everything was fat and dry. We all climbed together at Rambles Central and Right on Saturday. The Rambles is a very entertaining play ground offering a variety of short climbs in the WI 2-5 range. On Sunday and Monday we all went in various directions
On Sunday John and I took off to climb “Shriek Of Sheep” (WI 5/5+, 3p) and took unintended 1000 foot detour on our approach, climbed some extra WI3, scouted a WI5+/6 line, then descended and re-ascended to “Shriek Of Sheep” and ultimately got back to the car well after dark. On Sunday we bagged "Loose Lady" (WI 5/5+) , and rolled back in to Seattle around 12:45 am. Here's a photo essay of our weekend...
