TR: Bozeman Ice / Hyalite and Pine Creek 12/30/07-1/1/08

Aaron Z and I headed over to Bozeman for the long New Year's weekend.  This was my second attempt on the trip, as the weekend before with Joe B was cut short due to food poisoning.

Saturday we made the 10 hr drive and pulled into the Best Value Inn (~$140 for three nights).  Sunday we headed up the Hyalite Canyon road for a warmup day in the Genesis area, climbing Genesis I, Clump Tree Gully, Genesis II, and Hang Over.

Monday we returned to Hyalite to attempt the Dribbles.  Although the ice was fat, the winds were gusting and cold, so we retreated to more sheltered ice.  After climbing a pitch on one of the Amphitheater Corner Climbs, we hiked over to Unnamed Wall and climbed The Fat One and The Elevator Shaft.

Tuesday, we made the drive over to Pine Creek for one last climb - Blue Gully - then the long drive home.

    It's your lead. Chop, chop.
