Vertical Videos Contest
The Mountaineers is hosting the first annual video contest to
provide a sense of the Mountaineers community in a visual format,
sharing your experience as a Mountaineer. Maybe you’ve been making
videos of your climbing, hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, sailing,
conservation work, courses or any other experience that the
Mountaineers supports, maybe you have an inner film waiting to get out;
share your experiences and what it means to you to be part of the
Mountaineers community. In short, we’d like your help in getting the
word out about how much fun it is to be part of the Mountaineers
experience.
Prizes will be offered to the top three videos selected in this
year’s contest: $100 gift certificate from Second
Ascent, $100 coupon good for any Mountaineers experience
(membership, course fee, etc.), $100 gift certificate from Mountaineers
Books.
Submissions will be open until April 31, 2010 and viewings will
be available using the Mountaineers YouTube Channel, Facebook and this page.
Contest Details
To enter the contest you just upload an original video of up to
three minutes length onto YouTube (you may have to create an account to do so)
between March 1, 2010 and April 31, 2010 and send a notice and link to contests@mountaineers.org
by April 30, 2010 (please include the link to the video, your name,
email address and phone number). The videos will be “favorited” to the Mountaineers
Channel. The top three videos based on the highest views and
ratings will be selected for prizes. Please submit any questions to contests@mountaineers.org.
To Vote
To vote, start reviewing videos after March 1, 2010 on the Mountaineers
YouTube channel and give rankings for each video you like. Be sure
to vote by May 1st, 2010 for your favorite videos. |
