Hiking The Pacific Crest Trail - Stampede Pass To Chinook Pass

    Hello Mountaineers,

Over the past 10 years I’ve been hiking portions of the PCT, and have completed the stretch from Manning National Park to Stampede Pass. I try and hike a portion each year, with the ultimate goal of completing the PCT for the State of Washington.

My goal this year is to hike point-to-point, North to South, from Stampede Pass to Chinook Pass from Thursday, July 2 through Sunday July 5 (3 nights, 4 days). I have transportation worked out on both ends (I live in Seattle) and am looking for a hiking partner. (My wife would feel better about me not going alone).

This stretch is not hard, compared with other stretches of the northern PCT. It’s 50 miles long, and I plan on hiking ~ 12 – 14 miles per day. The hike elevation ranges from 4K to 6.5K, but it is gradual and not all at once.

Please let me know if you are interested, and we can work out the details from there.

    Thanks,

    Clem
