    Update on Adventurer Erden Eruc

I was listening to KUOW while driving back from a client meeting last Monday, and heard a nice interview with our old friend Erden Eruc -- who has embarked on a quixotic quest to row and bike around the world, while also summiting the highest peak on each continent:

"There's a yellow, 23–foot long boat in dry dock right now. Its name is the Calderdale, and it has room for one person to sleep and storage for a year's worth of food. It's also propelled solely by oars. This is the boat Seattleite Erden Eruc used to try to row across the Pacific Ocean from California to Australia. Erden returned to Seattle about a month ago, after 312 days at sea. He didn't complete his journey, but he'll be back in his boat again soon until he reaches his next destination and eventually circumnavigates the globe. He tells Jeannie Yandel why he needs to complete the journey."

    From here -- http://www.kuow.org/program.php?id=15551

I assume there's a way to access a podcast of the actual interview, in which Erden explains the motivation behind his quest, what keeps him going, and how he has re-designed his life to accomodate it.

Here is Erden's own website: http://www.around-n-over.org/

Good luck, calm seas, and bodacious climbing weather to Erden as he continues his adventure!
