Climbing Mt Buckner, North Face

Climbing Since 1995, when I took the basic climbing course. Mountaineers leader since 2003.

Preferred Types of Climbing:
Anything both aesthetic and challenging. In recent years I'm increasingly attracted to rock climbing.

Mountaineers Service:
I've served on the Seattle Climbing committee (Basic Field Trips) since 2000, leading the Snow 2 / Crevasse Rescue field trip for the last few years and Rock 2 before that.

Other Outdoor Activities: Alpine skiing, windsurfing

Favorite Climbs: Cathedral Peak in Tuolumne, Mt Shuksan via Fisher Chimneys, Mt Maude via Entiat Icefall

Climbing Style/Leadership Philosophy: I prefer small groups and consensus leadership.

Preferred Pace: I prefer fast but too often achieve medium.

Major Climbing Achievements: Matterhorn (Hornli Ridge), Epinephrine at Red Rocks, Mt Goode via NE Buttress, East Buttress of El Capitan, Liberty Ridge on Rainier.
